I just finished a book last night and can I just say wow. It was definitely not what I expected when I read the description in the inside cover of the book. What I read was The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton. What did I expect? A story of a girl with wings who thinks she can never be loved by someone outside of her family who finds true love, gets married, and is happy. And that couldn't be farther from what I found. It's a fantastic story with so many twists and surprises that I couldn't even begin to list them here. I've read a lot of books and this is, by far, one of my favorites. I plan to search for more Leslye Walton books because she is a wonderful author and I want to read more, even though Ava's story is over. If any of you are looking for something to read, I highly recommend this book. I'll admit, it's probably more of what most people would consider a 'girl book'. But give it a shot and it might be something you like. Ava's story is certainly the strangest love story I've ever heard. But it's also the most beautiful. The book is properly named, in my opinion, and I hope you'll give it a try.
